  • Classes

Pottery classes offer a hands-on introduction to the art of working with clay, guided by experienced instructors.

Students will learn to use a pottery wheel to create symmetrical forms like bowls, mugs, and vases. You will learn centering on the wheel, throwing, trimming, modifying (adding handles or changing the form or carving or whatever), and glazing your work to create unique and personal ceramic pieces.

They will develop their skills over a 5 session series of classes. The final Class (Session 6) they will learn about different types of glazes, their applications, and how they affect the final look of the pottery.

  • Workshops

Our pottery workshops offer a hands-on introduction to the art of working with clay. You will learn the basic techniques of creating ceramic pieces.

Our workshops typically cover hand-building techniques like pinch pots, coil building, and slab construction, as well as surface decoration and basic glazing processes.

We also offer wheel sampler workshops, where participants receive instruction on centering, opening and shaping the clay. And then create their own unique pots to keep.
